7TH DRAGOON GUARDS (PRINCESS
ROYAL'S) Raised in 1688 as the Earl of Devonshire's Horse or 10th horse, but changed
names in 1788 to the 7th (the Princess Royal's) Dragoon Guards.

Both of the above Regiments were amalgamated in 1922, to become the 4th / 7th
Dragoon Guards. and became Royal in 1936
